Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This policy explains what data Retrace collects, why, and what control you have over it. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

Account data — your name and email (or Google profile if you sign in with Google). Trading data — the trades, statements, notes, screenshots and journal entries you add. Billing data — handled by our payment provider; we store only a customer reference and your plan status, never your card details. Basic technical data — logs needed to run and secure the Service.

How we use it

To provide the Service (reconstruct and chart your trades, compute your stats), to authenticate you, to process subscriptions, and to send essential account emails (verification, password reset, billing). We do not sell your data.

Sharing

Your journal is private by default. A trade becomes visible to others only through a share link you create — and you can revoke it at any time. We use a small number of processors to run the Service (hosting, our payment provider, and email delivery), each only for that purpose.

Price & candle data

Charts are drawn using third-party market-data feeds. That data describes public markets, not you, and is aligned to your trades locally.

Your rights

You can access, export or delete your data from your account settings at any time. Deleting your account removes your trades, notes and uploaded screenshots. Contact us for any request we can't self-serve.

Security & retention

We protect data in transit and store it on managed infrastructure. We keep your data for as long as your account is active; when you delete it, we remove it (backups roll off shortly after).
