Export from MetaTrader 5

Save an HTML report from the MT5 terminal. Retrace reads the deals table and reconstructs your positions — including partial closes.

    Open the Toolbox in your MT5 terminal

    In the MetaTrader 5 desktop terminal, open the Toolbox panel (View → Toolbox, or Ctrl+T) and switch to the History tab.

    Pick your date range

    Right-click inside the History tab and choose a period that covers the trades you want to import — or select a custom period so nothing is missed.

    Save the report as HTML

    Right-click again and choose Report, then HTML (Internet Explorer). Save the file anywhere on your computer.

    Import it into Retrace

    In Retrace, go to Import and choose “MetaTrader 5 (HTML statement)” as the format, then drop in the file.

The MT5 report includes the full deals table, so partial closes and scale-outs are reconstructed into complete positions automatically — each partial is drawn on the chart.
